We were lucky enough to own Ch Kearby’s Mini Maggy of Graymor bred by the late Quita Youatt who for many years was the bitch Challenge Certificate breed record holder. I have award Kennel Club Challenge Certificates many times in both Miniature Bull Terriers and Bull Terriers. Having judged Miniature at Crufts in 2004 and Bull Terriers in 2015. I have also judged three times at the Bull Terrier Club Trophy show and judged extensively in Europe and in the USA including Montgomery and the MBTC of America Van Hildrikhusen Trophy.
In an administrative capacity I have served on various committees and am currently Secretary of the Southern Miniature Bull Terrier Club & West of England Bull Terrier Club and am a general Committee member of The Bull Terrier Club, although my direct involvement with the BTC goes back many years when I assisted Graham who was firstly assistant and then Treasurer of BTC during 1980s & 90’s particularly around the Trophy show when I manned the Clubs stall for many years during one of its most profitable times. I am joint Breed Education Coordinator for BT/MBT which means being heavily involved with the Kennel Clubs Judges Education Programme being an organiser, mentor and assessor of up and coming judges who are aspiring to award CC’s in both breeds.
